COMMIT TO THE TASK AT HAND
By Paul Flores
There are a few members who feel that they are in need of multiple workouts per day. Although this type of workout program may result in some fitness gains, those gains, if not monitored closely, are rather short lived. If you feel that you would like to try those multiple workout days, it is imperative that you pay very close attention to your nutritional needs and the amount of rest you get in between sessions. One other area you need to pay attention to is your mental focus during each of the workouts. If you find that midway through your workout you hit a rough spot and the thought of easing back a little comes to your mind because you have to do another workout, you must commit to the task at hand. Don't allow this mindset to take place. It waters down the whole multiple workout purpose and goal. We call these workouts that lack mental focus "garbage workouts." They are just taking up energy and not offering up any real fitness benefit. Instead, what you must do is put that second workout on the back burner and absolutely attack the workout you are engaged in at the time. In other words, be present in your current workout. The mental energy needed to get through a CrossFit workout must be well spent. The will power to keep the intensity high during a Crossfit workout must remain top priority. Focus on the task at hand. Get the most out of what you are doing by committing totally to the task at hand. Who knows, you may not need that extra workout after all.
We would like to thank all of you that invited your friends and everyone that came to the FREE class on Sunday. It was great fun watching you attack the workout, we hope to see all of you soon!

As luck would have it, today happened to be the last day of my two-a-day workouts. I’m planning on starting them up again in September. The workout is posted below in case anyone wants to start training for it.
“The Phil”
For Time
1. 50M Keg Carry from house to car using a kindergarten age child.
2. Suicide sprints from car to house for forgotten items 1, 2, and 3.
3. Tabata Driving – Drive 20 seconds, stop at red light for 10 seconds, drive 20 seconds, repeat until school is reached.
4. 200M sprint from car to classroom with child on back while cramming forgotten items 1, 2, and 3 into backpack.
To be Rx this should be done with no breakfast and while carrying a cup of coffee (but never drinking it).
You are one funny mother#@&*$%, Phil.
Yaay! Phil is back and sharp as ever! Phil, I could never beat you at that wod and you’re packing more kiddie weight than me. Very freakin’ funny. I do the Phil wod every morning as well.
Hey Paul, they have CrossFit Infants now? That Sunday class seem to have a couple of little fire breathers. How much weight are they adding to those Kettle Rattlers??
I’ll bet those little ones poop before their work outs alot too.
Just a note. Go to the main CrossFit page and read comments posted. #113 and #166. There you will find some very kind words about every one of you at CFEC.

It’s appropriate time to make some plans for the future and it is time to be happy. I’ve read this put up and if I could I desire to counsel you some fascinating things or tips. Maybe you could write next articles referring to this article. I wish to learn more issues approximately it!
I am not very good with English but I find this rattling leisurely to understand.
I enjoy reading through and I believe this website got some really useful stuff on it!
