Another reminder, we have lots of schedule changes
coming in June, so be sure you grab a copy of the new calendar this
week. We are adding an 8am class Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The
late class will now be at 6pm instead of 6:30pm and will be Monday,
Tuesday and Thursday. Wednesday at 6pm is still the Flexibility and
Balance Training class with Julia. There is an additional fee for this
class of $10.00 for current CFEC members and $14.00 for the general
public. We will also be offering an Olympic Weightlifting class every
Saturday at 11am. Lastly, the FREE class will now be offered every
Sunday at 9am, be sure to tell your friends, family, neighbors and
co-workers.
Trust
by Paul Flores
Your relationship between you and your coach has to be one based heavily on trust. You put your health and safety into the hands of your coach. That has to be the first and foremost foundational value you place on your coach. Your coach has those extra set of eyes that you need when you are right in the middle of an exhausting CrossFit workout. With those eyes, your coach has to convey to you what he sees and verbalize what he sees to you, so that you can use what very little energy you have, at that moment to complete the task at hand most effeciently. That's when total TRUST becomes most evident. Now, whether you listen to and react positively to those verbal cues is entirely up to you. One thing that I think is important to remember when we are being coached, is that every one of your coaches at CFEC has done the workout, movement, exercise, etc. that you are attempting to do. The experience you are going through at that moment is something you share with your coach. They've been there. They know what you're going through. It is in that shared arena of performance, trust is being formulated in its most basic sense. Trust that the words being spoken to you are only going to make you better and ultimately fitter. Trust that the rewards of your efforts are going to take your performance to unseen levels that I'm sure you never knew were possible the first time you set foot into CFEC. Your coaches trust you are almost there right now.

What a performance today Newman! You could be a rock star if you had hair!
Just kidding – great job dude 🙂
If you guys think Newman is the man now, wait ’til next year. Wait until he finally gets CrossFit. He will be going to the CrossFit Games to compete next year. He has very few weaknesses now, but ,once he overcomes those, he’ll be unstopable. Cherish all, what you’re witnessing now.
Alright Newman’s ego is going to be so inflated he won’t be able to make it through the door. Someone’s going to have to take him down a notch and it looks like it going to have to be me. I’ll be putting you in your place at the 5:00 workout! Sure I’ve never done barbell thrusters, sure my best mile time to date is 7:38, sure I had a cup-o-noodles for lunch, but you are going down!

Dang you cup-o-noodles! You let me down!
Props to Newman after all!
Awesome job to all CFEC Crossfitters today! Today’s wod was a real ball buster (or ovary deflater depending on your persuasion). And I know it was a Fran first for a few of you ie. Susan and Phil.
Way to gut it out guys!
And thanks Paul, Tony and Phil for your kind words and encouragement. I just want to say that any success I experience in crossfit is directly proportionate to the fantastic coaching I get from Paul and the staff as well as the friendship and encouragement I receive from the gang. I’d like to add that any crossfit failure I experience is ALSO directly proportionate to Paul’s and the staff’s coaching as well as the ridicule and bullying I receive from some of you in the cfec community who like to make fun of bald, Asian guys.
Newman, in your self-descriptive rant you forgot to mention camera-toting along with bald and Asian. I’m just sayin’.

Only wanna input on few general things, The website design and style is perfect, the articles is very superb :D.
Regards for this post, I am a big big fan of this web site would like to continue updated.
We would like to thank you once again for the wonderful ideas you gave Janet when preparing her post-graduate research in addition to, most importantly, pertaining to providing many of the ideas in one blog post. In case we had been aware of your website a year ago, we’d have been saved the nonessential measures we were taking. Thanks to you.
Lovely just what I was searching for. Thanks to the author for taking his time on this one.
Deference to article author, some fantastic entropy.
