San Diego and Arizona Sectional Update:After a day of phenomenal athletic performances, here are the standings after the first 2 workouts.
Women: Teshina is in 3rd, Anniken is in 12th, Briley is in 19th, Diana is in 22nd and Amelia is in 23rd. These women poured their hearts out in their workouts and I couldn't be any prouder for them giving it their all. Teshina's effort in the second workout was absolutely amazing to see. She methodically did rep after perfect rep of the 7 power snatches and did all 21 double unders without missing not a one. In all 7 rounds. It was just like watching a pitcher throw a perfect game. It was that special. She was one second shy of matching Kristen Clever's first place time. Kristen finished in 3rd place at the 2009 CrossFit Games. It was awesome to see.
Men: Newman is in 6th, Matt is in 37th, Paul is in 40th,Tony A. is in 41st and Joe is in 76th. The men's competition was fierce from the get go and Newman and Tony won their heats in the first workout. The day's heat made the second workout a little harder and it took it's toll on everyone. Everyone did great and deserves a huge pat on the back for going after it.
Nice going guys, way to pepper the standings. Paul, thanks for posting the updates.

I have never seen anything like it…wow…For those of you that didn’t come because you had to work, I get it…for those of you that didn’t come because of prior commitments, I get it…for those of you that didn’t come because it was $50 to watch, I get it….well now I feel different…I bit the bullet and spent the $ because I really wanted to experience the whole thing and of course to be the head cheerleader for our amazing CFEC team! It WAS INCREDIBLE and TOTALLY WORTH THE MONEY. Plan on coming out next time if you can make it….You won’t regret it! If I had to use one word to describe how I felt: PROUD
