"The Young CrossFit Athlete"

By Paul Flores

Ask any personal trainer or coach what it is they find most rewarding in their work and they would likely respond, helping people get better.  I, like other coaches, have a great passion and desire to help others achieve top level physical fitness.  It is even more rewarding when those you are helping decide to take that fitness and, together with other talents, put it on display on an athletic field.  To go one further, it's a real blessing when the athlete you're training is as young as 12 years of age.  I would like to introduce you to Brady Aiken.  Pay attention… the name is Brady Aiken.  His sport is anything with a ball.  He can kick it, shoot it, hit it, throw it, and catch it.  What is drawing a lot of attention lately is his baseball talent.  He belongs to a highly competitive traveling baseball team that recently played in a national tournament in Orlando, Florida.  His team (Norwalk Stingrays) finished in first place and Brady was voted the tournament's Most Valuable Player.  This weekend Brady will be playing in another national baseball tournament in Tennessee. I would like everyone at CFEC to wish him well and to show your support by watching his game on Cox's MLB Network, channel 770, Friday, August 28 at 7:30am.  If his team advances, he can also be seen Sunday, August 30 at 10:00am, 12:30pm and the finals are at 5:00pm.  All games will be on MLB Network, channel 770.  All times are Pacific time zone.  Brady's father, Jim, tells me it will be a very competitive tournament. Let's watch one of CFEC's own athletes show his true talents.  Go Brady!
